“Soon, we’ll have drone racing stadiums packed with thousands of people” The small, but blooming, drone industry is already spawning a couple of interesting offshoots. None of these growing communities are more interesting than the pro-pilots that are working together to form the world’s very first professional drone racing leagues. Professional drone pilots firmly believe that FPV (that’s ‘first-person view’ for the uninitiated) racing will soon be represented on ESPN – that one day soon, we’ll have drone racing stadiums packed with tens of thousands of people, we’ll have leagues with $100,000 sponsorships and – who knows – we might even get Mario Kart-style battle arenas, too. We can dream, eh? The reality is that most leagues right now are local and only of interest to a select few, but…
