SPRK+ MAKES SPHERO’S CODING BOT EVEN SMARTER

Sphero has been in the rolling gadget game a long time now, and recently released a BB-8 replica much to the delight of Star Wars fans everywhere. Its latest device is the $130 (£100) SPRK+, a programmable robot that is designed to get kids interested in coding with the aid of an intuitive app for Android, iOS and Amazon devices. With an eye on younger folks, it’s waterproof and scratch resistant, and can be paired with a smartphone with a tap (via Bluetooth, with a 30-metre range). It has an accelerometer and gyroscope to find its way around, plus LED lights for that extra bit of entertainment.
