Drawing the Macaw

1. Start with a large oval shape for the body and a smaller egg shape for the head. Then add a triangle for the tail at the bottom end of the body oval. Add two curved lines for the longer part of the tail. Next, sketch the beak on the front of the face, and also sketch the eye and leg. 2. Now begin making small changes to the shape of the areas you’ve drawn. You want to make your macaw look feathery, not smooth. Begin drawing the branch, the claw, and other details. 3. Now begin filling in some of the shapes you’ve drawn. Some are filled in completely. You can use crosshatching to fill in other areas.
