Finding warmth under a dryer vent on this unseasonably cold day, Mrs. Whiskers laid her head down for a mid-morning nap. Then Larry startled her. “Come quickly,” he panted, then turned and ran. Mrs. Whiskers followed, wondering what could cause such urgency. They arrived at the lake, where their friend Cowboy Clark stood at the water’s edge.
