After decimating the Devni tribe with the help of Cantii queen Amena (Annabel Scholey), it seems as though Aulus (David Morrissey) is unstoppable as he settles in to his new stronghold: the Devni’s hilltop castle. Amena has cemented her place in Aulus’s court (and bed) by helping him, but the arrival of Aulus’s wife Hemple (Sophie Okonedo) has Amena locked in a lethal ménage à trois with the equally devious pair. Meanwhile, with Harka’s resurrection, a battle of wills between him and twin brother Veran (both portrayed by Mackenzie Crook) threatened to derail the prophecy – that is, until Divis (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) swooped in and shot Harka in the head with an arrow.
