Back in April I offered a “polemical” webinar arguing that “some of the most meaningful contributions to ufology were by people who never set out to be ufologists.”1 I’m not condemning any of FT’s UFO investigators here; without the likes of Jenny Randles, David Clarke and Andy Roberts my life would have been poorer. I’m saying any definition of “best” ufologists should include those who have demonstrably contributed to progress in the field, added to our understanding and moved investigations on for others to build on.
