Neulich traf ich mich mit einer Freundin zum Abendessen in einem gemütlichen Restaurant in der Altstadt. Als wir Platz nahmen, fiel mir am Nachbartisch eine Frau auf, die gedankenverloren ein Buch las. Sie war allein und schien so in ihre Lektüre vertieft, dass sie das Kommen und Gehen um sie herum gar nicht bemerkte. Ich fragte mich, ob ihre Verabredung sich wohl verspätet hatte. Doch als ihr Essen kam und sie ihr Buch lächelnd zur Seite legte, wurde mir klar, dass sie auf niemanden wartete. Sie hatte offenbar eine Verabredung mit sich selbst.
