YES In winzigen Buchstaben steht das englische Wort an der Decke der Londoner Indica Gallery, in der die japanische Künstlerin Yoko Ono im Jahr 1966 eine Ausstellung hat. Um es lesen zu können, muss man auf eine hohe, weiß gestrichene Leiter steigen und eine Lupe zu Hilfe nehmen. John Lennon, Mitglied der Beatles (der zu dieser Zeit wohl populärsten Band der Welt), besucht die Ausstellung bereits vor der offiziellen Eröffnung. Er steigt auf die Leiter, liest das Wörtchen „YES“ und spürt sofort, dass in ihm und der Künstlerin verwandte Seelen schlummern müssen, wie er später erzählt. Tatsächlich beginnt an diesem Tag die Liebesgeschichte zwischen John und Yoko. Es ist eine Geschichte, die schon so oft erzählt worden ist, dass nicht nur alle Beatles-Fans sie kennen.
