Es ist der 4. Juni 2022. Großbritannien feiert das 70. Thronjubiläum von Königin Elisabeth mit einem großen Jubilee Concert in London. Auf der Bühne vor dem Buckingham Palace wird eine Reihe berühmter Künstler:innen auftreten. Den Abschluss bildet Miss Diana Ross, Berichten zufolge eine Lieblingssängerin der Royals. Sie ist 78 Jahre alt und ihre Stimme nicht mehr ganz wie früher, aber das kümmert niemanden. Hier steht eine Ikone; die Stadt liegt ihr zu Füßen. Dianas Leben beginnt weit weniger glamourös. Am 26. März 1944 kommt sie als Diane Ernestine Ross zur Welt, als zweites Kind von Ernestine Moten und Fred Ross. Vier weitere Kinder folgen.
