Schönes entdecken und mir etwas Gutes tun

Für ihre Arbeiten schöpft Keely Inspiration aus der Welt um sie herum – aus Büchern, Filmen, der Landschaft Kaliforniens, dem Austausch mit anderen Künstler:innen. Am meisten inspirieren sie aber ihre drei Katzen Bernie, Fern und Wiley. "Ich liebe Katzen! Vor allem ihre eigenwilligen Persönlichkeiten“, schwärmt Keely. Besonders Bernie ist immer dabei, wenn sie in ihrem Arbeitszimmer sitzt und freie Illustrationen oder Auftragsarbeiten anfertigt.

In ihren Papiercollagen erschafft Künstlerin Carina Aigner (Künstlerinnenname Ina Kadisi) kleine Welten, in denen nichts einen Sinn ergeben muss, wie sie sagt: „Alles darf sein. Die Welt steht auf dem Kopf, Fische wachsen aus Pilzen heraus, die Proportionen stimmen ganz und gar nicht.“ Als besonderes Format für ihre Collagen hat Carina Haftnotizzettel für sich entdeckt. „Es fasziniert mich, auf begrenztem Raum zu arbeiten und in kurzer Zeit eine Idee zu entwickeln. Die Zettel haben außerdem etwas Vergängliches, weil man sie überall hinkleben kann“, erzählt sie.
