Dein neues Kochbuch heißt Comfort. Warum ist jetzt die perfekte Zeit für Wohlfühlessen? Weil unsere Welt ziemlich laut und verrückt geworden ist. Mich mit einem Kochbuch zu beschäftigen, den Anweisungen Schritt für Schritt zu folgen und etwas Echtes und Tröstliches herzustellen, beruhigt mich ungemein. Für einen kurzen Moment kann man die Dinge kontrollieren, anstatt von ihnen überwältigt zu werden. Aus welchen Gründen hat es der Chocolate Ripple Cake in das Buch geschafft? Oh, da gibt es viele! Zunächst ist es ein Kuchen, der ziemlich einfach zuzubereiten ist und trotzdem für die ganze Familie reicht. Außerdem versteckt sich in seinem Inneren eine echte „Überraschung“, die man erst entdeckt, wenn die scheinbar weiße Torte angeschnitten wird und die „Wellen“ aus Schokokeksen zum Vorschein kommen.
