Laubbäume, Vögel und Musiknoten: All das steckt für Stacie in der farbenfrohen Illustration auf dieser Trennerseite. „Meine Tochter fragte mich einmal, warum die Vögel so früh am Morgen schon singen. Meine Antwort: Um den Bäumen und Blumen beim Wachsen zu helfen“, erinnert sich Stacie, die mit ihren Bildern zeigen möchte, wie sehr sie für all die kleinen Dinge im Leben dankbar ist. „Außerdem ist das Malen und Illustrieren für mich auch immer eine sehr kathartische Erfahrung, die mir hilft, mein Gleichgewicht zu halten.“ Sogar im Urlaub hat Stacie deshalb immer Skizzenblock und Aquarellset dabei, um ihre Eindrücke und Emotionen gleichzeitig festhalten und auch loslassen zu können.
