The coastline flanking Cape Cuvier in WA has been described as the “Mecca” of Land Based Game in Australia. It’s on many LBG anglers’ bucket list and plenty have made the pilgrimage. We had visited this part of the WA coast several times already and recently made another visit. Despite it being a slow period, we enjoyed some memorable fishing. This article discusses the ups and downs of visiting one of the best LBG locations in Australia. The Quobba Coast stretches from where the road hits the ocean at the Blowholes north to Red Bluff. It’sabout70kmfromCarnarvonwhere supplies including fuel, food and tackle can be found. The trip from Perth is about 1000 km and takes 12 hours with meal stops.
