The first time I heard the name 12 Cilindri, I presumed it was one of those prototype labels that gets whispered between engineers in lab coats walking past one another in the hallways of Maranello. A name full of intrigue but set to be replaced as soon as the wheels get bolted on. Ferrari has been producing V12s for ages, and will still sell you one in the body shape of either an 812, Purosangue or Daytona SP3.
