When one thinks back to old-school first-person shooters like Doom and Quake, they were not only amazing games but metal as hell. From the pumping soundtrack to the brutal gameplay right through to the artwork, everything screamed metal. Yet thanks to the rise of real military shooters, the metal vibes of the FPS genre has become limited. True the latest Doom games have brought back the metal, only one true game exists these days that is a love letter, not only to the olden days of metal-infused shooters, but also to the metalheads out there.
