A granny cottage on stilts, with an upstairs deck

Dear Jonno, We have seen your designs for small homes in Farmer’s Weekly and particularly like the ones made of wood. There are some timber mills in my area, and I have an idea to use them as a source of material. Because of the sloping ground where we wish to build the house, we would like a raised floor, with walls made of timber slats. As this will be our ‘granny cottage’, the house only needs one bedroom and bathroom, with the living room and kitchen being as spacious as we can afford.
