Es gab so einen Punkt, mit Mitte 30, an dem ich dachte: So, jetzt wird es Zeit; das ist doch ein gutes Alter. Wusstest du schon immer, dass du Vater werden willst? Eigene Kinder hatte ich immer im Hinterkopf, ich habe es aber lange verdrängt und aufgeschoben. Und ich hatte auch ein bisschen Panik, vielleicht etwas falsch zu machen – man will ja mögliche Fehler seiner Eltern nicht wiederholen. Da es meine Frau, mit der ich mittlerweile seit 15 Jahren verheiratet bin, ebenfalls nicht so eilig hatte, haben wir uns auf unsere Karrieren konzentriert. Es ist ja schon so, dass das Leben ohne Kinder leichter ist. Man kann reisen und als Paar machen, was man will. Wir haben uns dann erst mal einen Hund angeschafft, der mittlerweile so alt ist…
