WAS HILFT ERWACHSENEN MIT ZAHNARZTANGST? Die Universität Jena hat 29 Studien zu dieser Frage ausgewertet. Das Ergebnis: Musik hören, Entspannungsübungen, Ablenkung und ausführliche Informationen lindern die Angst. Besonders effektiv war Hypnose. Zu meinem Zahnarzt-Fiasko kam es irgendwann im Grundschulalter. Der Arzt gehörte zur alten „Stell dich nicht so an“-Schule. Ich hatte ein Loch, er bohrte, es tat höllisch weh, aber er hielt drauf. Das hängt mir bis heute nach. Zahnarzt ist nicht mein Ding, ich schiebe die Besuche gern vor mir her. Bei meinen Kindern wollte ich alles besser machen. Ich suchte eine Kinderzahnärztin, vergrub meine eigene Angst tief im Inneren und ließ schon die ersten Babyzähnchen kontrollieren. Es lief, die Kinder zuckten nicht mit der Wimper. Alles richtig gemacht, dachte ich. Aber dann fiel meine Tochter auf dem Schulweg…
