Colombian resort and swimwear brand Baobab brought its bold vision to the streets of New York City this spring, with a runway show that culminated at its newly opened stand-alone shop in the West Village, the first in the U.S. The brand's colorful, meticulously draped dresses and ruched bikinis are a hit with stateside customers, so this is surely the first of many more outposts to come.

Le Sirenuse on the Amalfi Coast serves as a haven for artists from around the world, and the hotel's abundance of antique furniture, ceramics, and statues shows how important the arts are to co-owners Antonio and Carla Sersale. In 2015, together with British curator Silka RittsonThomas, they introduced Artists at Le Sirenuse, a contemporary art program in which artists create site-specific installations for the property. This year, with the help of Italian glass mosaic firm Bisazza, Swiss artist Nicholas Party retiled the famous terrace pool, creating interlocking, fluid shapes in turquoise, seafoam green, and navy that dance and sparkle under the water and sunlight. Antonio Sersale puts it best: "When you enter a pool, you are entering another world, a watery realm that becomes even more rich and strange here on the hotel's terrace." sirenuse.it.
