…and where to find them – they’re entwined in the new Clarke & Clarke wallpapers, fabrics and murals inspired by artist Emma J Shipley’s travels

They say travel broadens the mind, and in the case of Emma J Shipley’s new ‘Mythica’ collection for Clarke & Clarke that is demonstrably true. The artist came home from a trip to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica brimming with ideas sparked by the region’s flora and fauna, which she combined with mythical beasts, translating them into vibrant wallpaper, fabrics and mural designs for the home. ‘My love for wildlife is at the heart of each design,’ Shipley says of her hand-drawn illustrations, adding: ‘This collection brings in my influences and experiences travelling to some of the most biodiverse places on Earth.’ Alongside textured wallpapers, velvets and cottons, the collection also offers jacquard weaves and embroideries in bold colour palettes.
