This issue I managed to unleash myself from my desk for a short time and indulge in one of my favourite pastimes: exploring Britain’s quaint corners. First up was a family trip to Norfolk (p42) in which we visited some old haunts while discovering some new ones – crabbing on the quay in Blakeney (right) was a highlight for us, though good old English weather prevented us from seeing the seals, so we will be back. On our way home, we spent some time in Cambridge, walking the cobbled streets and taking an obligatory punt trip along the River Cam to learn more about the history of this elegant city and its many university colleges, and you can read all about it in my city guide (p30).
