The Geordie darts star was at Wembley to watch his beloved Toon lift their first major domestic trophy in 70 years with a 2-1 win over Liverpool.
But while Eddie Howe and his players are paraded through the Toon in front of thousands tomorrow, Dobey will be hundreds of miles north - working a darts exhibition in Inverness.
The Geordie thrower was back home on Tyneside last night for Premier League Darts, but there’ll be no partying with the punters this weekend.
He explained: “I won’t be at the parade, I’m working this weekend in Inverness. I’ve seen them win the cup live, I’m happy with that.
“I’m devastated but needs must. The show goes on - but it’s not going to be the last time, I’ll see it again next time.
“The celebrations are ongoing, as it will be for weeks, months and years. These things don’t happen often. It’s just such a buzz all around. What a win.
“I came straight back home on the night. I made sure I came back, I couldn’t be away that long!”
