Jim Dougal and Betty Davidson used to walk to school hand in hand in Borders town Eye-mouth in the 30s.
They lost touch when Jim's family moved away in 1939 but his son Alistair traced Betty, 96, after a FRIENDS Jim, Elma & Betty 1936 class photograph appeared in local paper the Berwickshire News.
Alistair said: "I wrote to Betty and she sent me a photo of her and my father together in 1936. They have an arm around the other's shoulder. My father was completely overwhelmed."...
