Scots back revamp of free tuition fees policy

It found 44 per cent said the Scottish Government should continue to support all first-time undergraduates, while 43 per cent said they would prefer those who could afford it to pay at least some of their fees.
Four in 10 respondents agreed too many people in Scotland continue to face barriers to going to uni.
Asked where the Scottish Government should prioritise post-school funding, 61 per cent backed apprenticeships, followed by grants for low-income and disadvantaged students to cover the cost of living.
