The Project Phoenix' consortium attempted to seize control of Rovers in 2023 with a bold bid to rebrand the club 'Shamrock Rovers Coatbridge' but that was kicked out by the board of directors at Cliftonhill.
Two years later, a revised bid has ditched the name change in the hope of swaying a new board of directors.
But the consortium insists some rebranding is still required to make the club more marketable to the people of Coatbridge and beyond, by adopting green and white with Rovers' traditional yellow.
