POLICE have urged anyone with information to come forward after a white BMW 1 series car was spotted after a gangland shooting in Edinburgh.
Cops were called to the city's Niddrie Marischal Crescent early yesterday morning, following reports of a “firearm possibly being discharged”.
Footage has captured the moment a man dressed in black approached the property and fired a gun three times.
Officers have confirmed that they believe the shooting was a targeted attack and are following a number of lines of inquiry.
The property allegedly belongs to an associate of kingpin Mark Richardson amid an escalating gang war. The Record reported that a “Mr Big” gangster, based in Dubai is believed to be behind the shooting.
A BMW 1 series vehicle was found in Main Street in the Dalmeny area of Edinburgh at around 4.30am yesterday.
Police will now carry out a forensic examination to determine whether it is linked to the incident.
Detective Inspector Martin Smith asked locals to check dashcam and doorbell footage.
He said: “We would urge anyone with information on this car, or anyone with dashcam, doorbell footage or personal footage to review it and get in touch with officers. I am keen to hear from anyone who saw the car in Niddrie Marischal Crescent or the Dalmeny area.
