Shieldinch a fave with top talent

Stephen Purdon’s Shellsuit Bob is the only original cast member of the soap to go the distance.
He began his role in 2002 before the soap attracted stars such as Stefan Dennis and Lorraine McIntosh from pop band Deacon Blue.
Neighbours legend Dennis had swapped sun-soaked Ramsay Street for Shieldinch as the evil Dr Marcus Mackenzie, who was eventually stabbed to death by a woman he tried to attack.
Daytime TV queen Lorraine Kelly dropped in as a special guest at Gina and Archie's wedding in 2006.
Simon Webbe from pop band Blue also had a part in the show.
Singer Susan Boyle and Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills are among the celebrities to have made cameo appearances over the years.
Scottish comedy legends Una McLean and Johnny Beattie were also drafted into the show early on.
