Badenoch ditches net zero target

In a speech today, the Tory leader will say the target cannot be achieved by 2050 without a drop in living standards.
Launching a policy renewal process, she will say: "Net zero by 2050 is impossible. Responsible leaders don't indulge in fictions which are going to make families poorer."
