Taliban jail fears for UK couple

Peter Reynolds, 79, and his wife Barbie, 75, run a charity in the country and it is believed they were arrested last month after holding a course for women teaching mothering skills.
Their daughter Sarah Entwhistle, of Daventry, Northamptonshire, said: “Our parents’ detention is cruel and unjust.
“We urge those in power to show goodwill and release them immediately.”
She said a reliable source had told her that her dad had been moved to a new location in a heavily guarded prison, and has been beaten and shackled.
Barbie has been told she cannot see him any more.
