Cavenagh in town to thrash out Gers deal

He was given the VIP treatment at Ibrox last night for the second leg of the club’s Europa League clash with Fenerbahce.
Cavenagh - who was in Istanbul last week to watch the first leg - checked into a plush city centre hotel just after 3pm.
He is part of a four-man delegation which includes San Francisco 49ers representative Gretar Steinsson - the former Iceland international who was lured into a key role at Leeds by the NEL giants.
Cavenagh's arrival on Scottish soil is the clearest indication yet that his multi-million buyout is nearing completion.
We previously revealed how he had attended a match against St Johnstone in January before he was publicly known to be at the heart of a revolutionary US proposal to hoover up more than 50 per cent of the shareholding.
