Cumming, 60, is again emulating the likes of Sir Sean Connery, Brian Cox, Sir Billy Connolly, KT Tunstall and Dougray Scott, who have taken on the role.
This year's parade will include more than 4000 marchers including 1500 bagpipers, Highland dancers, clan committees and Scottish dog breeds marching up the Big Apple's Sixth Avenue in front of a crowd of tens of thousands.
Cumming, who hosts the US version of The Traitors, which is filmed at Ardross Castle in Alness, Easter Ross, is one of two Grand Marshals to have taken on the role twice.

Cumming said: "As a Scottish-American there can be no greater honour to be back as Grand Marshal for the Tartan Day Parade in New York City, and especially as this year is my first as artistic director of Pitlochry Festival Theatre another huge Scottish honour that I hold dear.
