EU walloped by 200% booze tariff

The move is in response to what he called the EU's “nasty” 50 per cent levy on American whiskey, which is due to kick in on April 1.
The bourbon levy was among tariffs announced by the EU after Trump imposed import taxes on steel and aluminium in his tit-for-tat trade war.
The US president wrote online: "If this Tariff [on bourbon] is not removed immediately the US will shortly place a 200% Tariff on all WINES, CHAMPAGNES, & ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS COMING OUT OF FRANCE AND OTHER EU REPRESENTED COUNTRIES.
