Water staff to strike in pay battle

GMB Scotland claimed Scottish Water has reduced the terms of a pay offer already rejected by workers, who already voted against an offer of a 3.4 per cent pay rise or £1400 covering the last nine months.
The union said during talks at conciliation service Acas on Wednesday, the company stated minimum backpay would be £1050.
