JUDGEMENT was reserved in Ferrel Govender’s appeal against the refusal of his formal bail application.
The matter was heard in the Durban High Court yesterday morning.
Ferrel, 40, the group chief executive officer of Pro Secure, a security company, did not appear in court.
He is charged with the murder of uMhlanga businessman Shailen Singh.
The 32-year-old was gunned down while in a parking lot on December 29, 2024.
The State alleged that Singh was killed because of an affair. He was said to be having an affair with Ferrel’s girlfriend.
The State was represented by Senior State Advocate Krishen Shah while Govender was represented by SC Michael Hellens instructed by KZN attorney Ravindra Maniklall.
