That is the view of Harry Redknapp, who believes the England head coach should not be judged on the games against “two useless teams” in qualifiers over the next week.

Redknapp, 78, said: “He’s got to win something, basically, to be a success. Gareth took us so far.
“He’s got an opportunity, he’s got a great squad, great group of players. A fantastic group of young players in this country.
“You probably wouldn't swap them for anybody. So, it's all there for him to win a trophy.
“He'll get judged on results like everybody, won't he? But he's got to win something to improve on what we've done in the past.
“With that group, of course he can. Southgate should have won a World Cup or a European Championship with that group of players. You looked at the teams that we've had, and the players.
“Every competition we've got to the semi-finals without really having to beat too many good teams. He should have won a trophy.”
Redknapp, above, admitted he was “surprised” at the recall of Ajax's Jordan Henderson and not excited by the short-term contract given to former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain coach Tuchel.
