Spring blossom bursts into bloom

As the March equinox signals the end of a long, cold winter, the National Trust is launching its annual Blossom Campaign, encouraging us all to get out and enjoy the flowers.
Little encouragement is needed at Cotehele Park, Cornwall, and Knightshayes Court, Devon, where flora fans have been out in force.
Happier
It comes after a YouGov poll revealed most adults feel happier when they see blossom on the trees.

The Trust's Annie Reilly said: "The joyful sight is a real mood-lifter.
"Our simple ask is for people to take a break to explore their streets or nearest green space....
