Consumer group Which? asked 46 home and 52 car insurers what rates of interest they charge to pay for cover on a monthly basis.
Just three of the 41 car insurers that shared their rates said they do not charge extra, while 19 out of 38 for home cover said the same. Not all insurers responded.
