Vardy left in limbo by fight for survival

Vardy is out of contract at the end of the season and the striker’s future is up in the air. The 38-year-old agreed to a one-year deal last summer and remains the Foxes’ leading scorer, despite a miserable campaign.
But Leicester, who are 19th in table after losing 13 of their past 14 Premier League games, have put contract talks with Vardy and several other players on hold.
Asked about the situation with Vardy, manager Van Nistelrooy said: “There are three or four games coming up quickly and we’re planning for that.
