The Edge 1040 follows the Edge 1030 Plus in Garmin’s king-sized bike-computer format, and it takes up bar space if you use a standard mount. At 132g, it’s pretty weighty, but the display size (3.5”) gives plenty of data on each screen. The screen is responsive enough that it’s easy to swipe between pages, although the reflective surface can be difficult to read on sunny days.
