THESE FLYWEIGHT CYCLING shades (29g) follow the trend for oversized, wraparound shield lenses, but have fairly subtle styling plus a less aggressive curve than some. The lens dimensions, at 136mm wide and 57mm deep, aren’t hugely oversized but still provide full coverage. The slender arms are very well tensioned and highly flexible, providing great grip on your head, even when riding in the rough, helped by a two-position adjustable nosepiece that allowed me to get a perfectly secure fit. The Shift’s photochromic lens is rapid to change and has simply wonderful clarity with none of the distortion that can be found at the edges of some of the more steeply curved wrap glasses.
