This recently updated wheelset has a wider, 22mm, internal width (it was 19mm). The hooked rims are compatible with clincher tyres as well as tubeless options and are optimised for tyres up to 35mm wide, but can be used with even wider tyres, say Hunt. The relatively wide inner width should produce a slightly squarer tyre shape, for small grip- and rolling-resistance benefits. The hubs have also been revamped, using Hunt’s take on a ratchet system, which gives a speedy 10° engagement angle for smooth pedalling, and also boosts reliability and durability, according to the brand.
