Our quartet of Euro gravel rides shows diversity and quality in gravel bike design isn’t reserved for our American cousins. The four bikes ridden and rated here all have a lot going for them and all represent good value compared to stateside rivals. Both the Ribble and the Ridley are able to be ridden comfortably at road speeds and have all the handling chops I’d want when riding on tarmac. The ride geometry is tweaked to take in off-road demands, but on really off-road sections, they struggle to navigate technical turns, drops and challenging surfaces as capably as purer gravel bikes.
