So you want to step up to an ultra-distance or multi-day event? Just be aware that the amount of support you can expect is a lot less than you’ll have seen at shorter events. Three-(or even four-) figure routes mean organisers can’t be on hand with roving mechanics or endless feed stations, leaving you fully self-sufficient when getting from A to B with your bike.
