Their official communications about the fabric address “PFCs of environmental concern”, which makes us wonder if Gore might not consider all PFC or PFAS chemicals worth eliminating. Nevertheless, it’s a step in the right direction. The three-layer fabric is said to be waterproof to an impressive ‘“minimum of” a 28,000mm water column rating. There’s no figure for its breathability performance. The cut is slim-fitting with a dropped, partially elasticated tail, and the tapered cuffs also have an elasticated section to help keep draughts at bay.
