“Cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats was an unforgettable adventure that tested our physical and mental limits while strengthening our camaraderie. The journey was born out of a casual conversation over coffee with my colleague Neil McMahon. We both shared a passion for cycling, though I’d only taken it up seriously during lockdown (2020), and the idea of completing the iconic LEJOG quickly became a goal we couldn’t resist. We put out an open invitation within our respective units and ended up with five cyclists, plus a support crew who ensured that we were well fed, hydrated and motivated throughout, plus anticipated when we needed a morale boost or a bike repair.
