Personally, I regret that Baselworld, the show where the whole industry gathered once a year, was given up like that. It was an important date in our calendar where our most important trade partners and press travelled to our hometown of Basel. And also because it was a time in the year when the whole Oris team from around the world came together.
The investment for future physical shows will be measured against new digital possibilities. The new digital format worked very well, even better than we had thought. As we were dropping novelties throughout the year, each new watch had its time in the spotlight which was an advantage towards the many new watches that were shown in Basel. I think that this will have an impact on the money…
