The ultra-high-end watchmaker continues to integrate gem setting into its haute horlogerie movements and has also added a new material.

Roger Dubuis’ watches can be rather polarising for some. Its unabashedly flamboyant character has offered up watches that have bright, almost-neon-style designs and accents, housing one or more regulators in the form of tourbillons or others. The focus on the ultra-high watchmaking segment means that Roger Dubuis has rarely delved into non-precious materials when it comes to its watches. It has used unconventional materials such as silicon for the Quatuor’s case, as well as automobile materials such as carbon fibre or MCF (mineral composite fibre). Steel and titanium are rarities at Roger Dubuis; apart from the Excalibur Spider models, there’s just one titanium Monobalancier model.
