Ukrainian Hams Back on the Air

While most of the pictures we see on the news from Ukraine are of cities bombed by Russia, people in other parts of the country are trying their best to keep their daily lives somewhat normal. This includes children going to school and radio amateurs returning to the air after a government-ordered shutdown in the early days of the war. Pavlo Tarasovych, UT1KY, a teacher and chief of school radio club station UT1KWA, shared these photos with us of the “radio team” at his school in Rivne, about 200 miles (325 kilometers) west of Kyiv, visiting the club station and listening to the ham bands.
