Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is one of the prettiest places we have ever seen. We were driving past it on our way back to Washington after visiting Disneyland. Although our family was tired after a week of traveling, I knew stopping at the preserve would be worth it.
As we drove, my husband spotted a sea of color far in the distance and wondered what it could be. When he realized it was the poppies, he could not wait to see them. We drove through during a super bloom season. The color of the sunshine on the poppies almost hurt our eyes.
