Parting shot: Hops at the Sleeman cottage

“I took this photo outside of the Sleeman family’s bunkie,” says photographer Liam Mogan. “I ran ahead while the family was touring me around, so that’s how I was able to get Quinn in the background.” Dangling off the rustic bell are hops, fitting for a family whose name has become synonymous with beer in Canada. “Hanging hops is supposed to bring good luck,” says Liam, adding that the small green flowers feature prominently throughout the family’s cottage as well. “I like this shot because it tells a story. It gives a glimpse into what kinds of treasures you might find inside the bunkie and beyond.”…
